After a busy year, and a busy week of November working, Soraïa is proud to wrap up with her first ever principal role for Con Edison commercial !

On this last stretch before Thanksgiving, Soraïa is super excited to be part of the new campaign for Curology !! <3
Soraïa’s first motion picture.
She will portray Sister Serafina in the new Alejandro Monteverde indie movie. Shooting in Buffalo, NY for the next two months, she will play opposite Cristiana Dell’ Anna as the Italian-American Roman Catholic nun Saint Mother Cabrini.
She is beyond excited to be part of the team carrying the true story of the incredible Saint Mother Cabrini, who against tremendous odds and challenges, was a major support to her fellow Italian immigrants in a chaotic New York. With faith, determination, magic and a sense of humor, she successfully established schools, orphanages and hospitals, not only in NYC but also in other States, Europe, Central and South America.

So happy to be back on indie work! “Eternal Present” (working title) is an art film by Jenna Bliss to be installed at stadtgalerie Bern (Switzerland) in February 2021. Then it will be turned into a short film to then be submitted to festivals.

Soraïa will be travelig to Boston this second half of the month to shoot the short film “Notres Dames”. Based on the true story of a 17th century French swashbuckling swordswoman's daring rescue of her old flame Clara Lavigne ( depicted by Soraïa ) from a convent.
After a year full of projects the month of October is none less exciting! Soraïa landed a comedic recurring role in the Series “Eighty-12” ( actually in production), Rosemary a con artist clairvoyant. It will be available on Amazon Prime.

This short art film by the Turkish director Sis Gurdal is inspired by European art of the 17th and 18th centuries that depicted the Ottoman Harems as subject only of male fantasies thus perpetuating the image of the Oriental women as an embodiment of mystery, suppression and of sexual license.
Soraïa will portray the Musical Mahrifuz, character inspired by the historical figure Roxelana, who made her way up in rank of the harem to become the chief consort and legal wife of the Ottoman Sultan Suleyman the Magnificient.
On top of playing such an iconic role she was even more thrilled as she had to bring in her performance her dance training.

For the rest of 2019 Soraïa will be interpreting the lead character of 'Sadrine' in a new film called "Bitter Sugar" which follows the personal and professional ups & downs in the world of competitive dance. In addition to acting, Soraia also choreographed the movie along with writer/creator Malik Isasis and will dance in the film.
This month of May will be busy filming the short indie film "Those Who Leave, Those Who Stay" written and directed by Kyle Colgan.
Tyler, who loses his job, and on the same day has to go to a dinner party at his girlfriend Elizabeth's (played by Soraïa) colleague's apartment. Together the two talk about life, goals, money, success and failure.

Soraïa got cast as Claire for the new series “Harriet the Spy, written and directed by Miles Preston-Clark.
Harriet is a dark comedy/drama taht follows nineteen year old Harriet Welsch, a former self-proclaimed “Spy” as she investigates the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of her college roommate.
